If you want to use a custom domain or subdomain, you will need to create an A and SRV record through your domain registrar's DNS manager.

Note: You must have full access to manage your domain's DNS settings.

By default, a custom domain/subdomain points to Minecraft's default port (25565). If your server doesn't have a Dedicated IP you need to create an SRV record to ensure that your custom domain/subdomain points to the correct server IP and port combination.

First create a A record.

Type:A Record
TTL:1800
Name:Yourdomain.com or sub.domain.com
Address:Your server IP without the port e.g. 192.168.2.1

Then create a SRV Record.

Type:SRV
Name: _minecraft._tcp.yourdomain.com.
Priority: 00
Weight: 55
Port: Your server port e.g. 25543
Target:yourdomain.com. or subname.domain.com.

If you are apart of the urplay.site network we can help you with this. (you can also get a custom sub -domain name)
